Ryan Gosling “Knows Nothing” About Barbie 2 (Except How Ken Should Change)

Ryan Gosling Clueless About Barbie 2, But Has Some Suggestions for Ken’s Redesign

In a shocking turn of events, Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling has revealed that he knows "nothing" about the upcoming Barbie 2 film, despite being linked to the project in the past. However, the La La Land star did share his thoughts on how he thinks Ken, Barbie’s iconic beau, should be redesigned for the big screen.

In an exclusive interview, Gosling candidly admitted that he has not been involved in the making of Barbie 2, and is not even familiar with the plot or cast. "Honestly, I know nothing about the movie," he said with a chuckle. "I’m not even sure if I’m still attached to the project. But I do have some thoughts on Ken, if that’s okay."

Gosling’s suggestions for Ken’s redesign are as follows: "I think Ken should be more… brooding. You know, like me in The Notebook. He should have a more introspective look, like he’s constantly thinking about the meaning of life. And maybe give him a little more edge, like a few tattoos or a leather jacket. He should be the cool, rebellious type who doesn’t care about conforming to societal norms."

The 40-year-old actor’s thoughts on Ken’s character design may raise some eyebrows, given the franchise’s long history of emphasizing the doll’s bright colors, optimism, and femininity. However, Gosling is convinced that his vision for Ken would add a much-needed layer of depth to the character.

"I think Ken is often seen as the ‘nice guy’ who’s just there to look good and support Barbie. But what about his own personality, his own story? I think exploring his complexities would make him a more interesting and relatable character," Gosling explained.

While it’s unclear whether Gosling’s input will be taken into consideration for Barbie 2, his enthusiasm for the project is undeniable. "I think it’s a great opportunity to subvert expectations and create something fresh and exciting. And who knows, maybe I’ll even make a cameo appearance as a brooding, leather-jacketed Ken," he joked.

Only time will tell if Gosling’s vision for Ken will come to fruition, but one thing is certain: his candid comments have added a new layer of intrigue to the highly anticipated Barbie 2 film.
