Loki Season 3 Teased by Marvel Producer
Just when fans thought they wouldn’t get to see any more of the God of Mischief on screen, Marvel producer, Louis D’Esposito, has dropped a cryptic hint that Loki’s adventures may not be over just yet. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, D’Esposito revealed that the Marvel Universe is "always" in the process of developing new projects, and one such project just so happens to be a potential third season of the critically-acclaimed Disney+ series, Loki.
While D’Esposito didn’t directly confirm the existence of Season 3, he hinted that the show’s beloved characters, including Tom Hiddleston’s titular villain-turned-hero, could very well return in some form. "We’re always developing new projects, always thinking about what’s the next story to tell… and Loki is definitely part of that," D’Esposito teased, leaving fans to speculate wildly about what the future of the series might hold.
For those who may not be familiar, Loki debuted on Disney+ in 2021 to widespread critical acclaim, with its second season concluding just a few months ago. The show explored the complexities of the MCU’s most iconic villain through a series of time-looping adventures, expertly weaving together elements of myth, science fiction, and humor.
If a Season 3 were to be greenlit, it would likely follow the further escapades of Loki and the Time Variance Authority’s (TVA) favorite trickster, possibly involving more time-hopping capers, alternate timelines, and, of course, plenty of mischief.
Considering the show’s astronomical ratings and fan adoration, it’s no surprise that Marvel would be keen on revisiting the character – and the possibilities for narrative exploration are endless. Tom Hiddleston’s dynamic performance as Loki has established the character as a true fan favorite, and writer Michael Waldron has crafted a narrative that balances depth, humor, and imagination.
