Hapless Sets Peacock Release Date for Anticipated Comedy Series

Fans of comedy are in for a treat as NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock has announced the release date for its upcoming original series, Hapless. The show, which has been generating significant buzz, will premiere on March 25th exclusively on Peacock.

Hapless, created by Mike Royce (Everybody Loves Raymond, Men at Work), is a semi-autobiographical comedy series based on Royce’s own life. The show follows the story of 38-year-old Andy Zogg (played by Eric Edelstein), a struggling musician who has never quite found his footing. As Andy navigates his midlife crisis, he embarks on a series of misadventures, from disastrous relationships to misguided career choices, all while trying to find his way in the world.

The series features a talented ensemble cast, including Kristina Sullivan, Brian Thomas Smith, and Kelsey Peters, among others. Hapless has received critical acclaim for its authentic portrayal of middle-aged struggles, relatable characters, and witty humor.

"We are thrilled to bring Hapless to Peacock and give our audience a fresh take on the ups and downs of adulting," said Jen Salke, Chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment. "Mike Royce’s humor and insight have created a show that is both heartwarming and hilarious, and we can’t wait for our subscribers to dive in."

Peacock has been rapidly growing its slate of original content, including popular series such as Rutherford Falls, Girls5eva, and Dr. Death. Hapless joins this roster as one of the streaming service’s most anticipated new releases.

To commemorate the release date, Peacock will be offering a free trial period for new subscribers, allowing them to try out the service and access Hapless without commitment. Existing Peacock subscribers can look forward to new episodes every Thursday.

Hapless is a heartwarming and hilarious portrayal of life’s ups and downs, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Andy Zogg and his eccentric cast of characters. Tune in to Peacock on March 25th to find out!
